The Subordinate Service Selection Board, commonly known as SSSB, Punjab has opened an online invitation for recruitment for the post of Irrigation Booking Clerk i.e., Patwari and Zilladars. SSSB has released an official notice on its official website on January 14th, 2021 making it easy for all the interested candidates of Punjab to apply. In total there are as many as 1,152 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment drive.
Patwari is basically a government official that keeps records regarding the ownership of land in rural areas of Punjab. Sometimes Patwari is also known by different names like Talati, Patel, Karnam, Adhikari, Patnaik, etc in different regions across the nation.

Exam Pattern of Punjab Patwari Exam
The Exam Pattern is as follows:
○ The Punjab Patwari Exam is an Objective Type.
○ The Question Paper consists of a total of 100 questions.
○ Every question is 1 mark each.
○ The total time duration for the Exam is 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours.
○ The medium of the Patwari examination is both in English and Punjabi (except questions of English and Punjabi Language subject.
● Besides this, there is also negative marking in multiple-choice questions. For every wrong answer, 1/4th (0.25) mark is deducted. The non-attempted question will not be marked with anything.
● The weightage of written examination is 100% marks that are a further consideration for merit in selection.
Qualification for Applying for the Punjab Patwari Job Vacancy Post
Every applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
You should possess at least 120 hours course with working experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity Applications or Desktop Publishing Applications. All this should be from a recognized institution or a reputed institution that has been ISO 9001 certified or possess at least 120 hours of working experience in Computer Applications. You should have taken the experience from 'O' Level from the Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (in short DOEACC).
The applicant should have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory subjects. The candidate has to fulfill the condition of qualification on the last date of receipt of the applications.
Knowledge of Punjabi language and culture is important: For Punjab Patwari recruitment 2021 no one will be directly appointed to any post if he/she doesn't have knowledge of the Punjabi language and culture. The candidate should have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as a compulsory subject or elective subject.
